Eccentric1999-97/125

Orange chert eccentric in the shape of a turtle in plan-view; it is circular with six projections (legs, head, tail). It is suspected that this specimen is a modern replica. See Notes in activity window for details. Note reads: "Ancient Indian Turtle. Orange-buff Chert Locality: Columbia County, Wisconsin. Secrist. June 30, 1981. S.tt - st" and "C. Secrist (Carol Secrist) P.O.Box 22, Deerfield, Missouri. 64741 Turtle measures 50.4 mm long x 36 mm. widest (across middle) x 8.80 mm. thick. On another scale thickness appears Ancient Indian Turtle.
