Small ovular basket with imbricated designs across exterior, single-row foot, and cross-hatched rim. Walls of basket flare slightly outward from base, making opening larger than foot. Designs consist of inverted, concentric triangles, that extend from opening towards middle of basket. Done in black, red-brown, and light yellow-white; centres of triangles are light yellow-white. Two crosses extend from tips of each triangle; done in black with light yellow-white centres. Identical cross patterns in between triangles; done in red-brown with light yellow-white centres. Rim of opening, along exterior walls, decorated with naturally coloured cherry bark. Base and interior are undecorated.

Basketry3454/1 a-b

Basketry covered bottle (part a) with faded design of a whale and whalers in a boat around middle. Above and below the whaling scene is a single red line with half circles repeating through it. There are bands of faded black with repeating red dashes through the centre. On the shoulder of the bottle is an extremely faded black design. The base has various sizes of plant fibres used, and an oval design in bright yellow, outlined in black. Removable basketry lid (part b) has two red dotted lines around the side and a red circle on the top with a faded black spiral design within.

Halibut Hook3419/1 a-b

Wooden halibut hook (part a) with wooden B-shaped float and detached metal barb (part b). Float attached to hook by thick cord wrapped in cedar root. A section of twisted cord extends beyond the float in a loop. The barb has lashings around its base.

Basket2899/1 a-b

Large rectangular lidded basket with handles and a tight weave. The basket body is deep with a wide mouth, narrowing to a smaller base, with imbricated diamond, triangle and arrow shaped patterns in colours of tan, dark brown and red-brown decorating all sides. The lid (part b) is flat and has a low profile. It is decorated with imbrication similar to that on the body. The basket has two half circle handles attached at the shorter sides, just under the rim (one reattached in 2019).

Basket3369/2 a-b

Round basket (part a) with lid (part b). The basket sides are decorated with a canoe and sea creature. There are three figures in the canoe, one of them holding a spear. The basket sides bulge at centre, tapering slightly to the rim, reinforced by a band of cedar bark. The basket also tapers slightly towards the base. The centre of the base has a simple square weave of cedar bark. The lid is decorated with a six-point star, faded to red and olive green, which incorporates the knob at centre. The imbricated designs have faded on the exterior basket sides and lid.

Wolf and Killerwhale Transformation3309/8

Paddle carved from a single piece of wood. On one side, the blade and shaft have carved and painted designs with inlaid abalone and operculum shells. The shaft has a large red whale(?) with a row of operculum teeth facing the grip, and below the cedar wrap, a raven(?) profile. The blade has a black wolf-killerwhale(?) and a small red salmon(?). The grip is natural, with either side painted black and inlaid with abalone shell. The blade, throat and mid-shaft are wrapped with cedar root. A thin black leather strap is tied below the grip.

Violin Case3290/1

Woven basketry violin case. Made of bear grass (white), cherry bark (red), and cedar bark (black) beading over cedar root. The maker's signature is in gold beading at the top of the case. There are two hinges of leather, and on the opposite side, a woven handle and two leather ties. The base and interior are plain.

Basket3304/1

Four-sided woven basket. A large rectangular top, which tapers in to a small rectangular base. The sides and rim are beaded with cherry bark and cedar bark in a repeating flower-like design, alternating between dark red and black with off-white. The rim of the basket is beaded as well. There are five loops of rawhide tied through the sides of the basket, one on each of three sides, two on the fourth side.
