Rectangular coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with looped border and short foot. Slat base construction. Imbricated design near rim of solid row of alternating double stitches of cat-tail grass (?), dark and red cherry bark. Three rows of alternating checkerboard diamonds in red cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?), and dark cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?). Foot has bottom row of imbrication of three alternating stitches in red and dark cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?).

Imbricated design of diamonds, two on large sides, one on short sides, outlined in dark cherry bark, then cat-tail grass (?), red cherry bark, cat-tail grass (?) and dark cherry bark at center. Band around the rim of alternating three stitches of red or dark cherry bark.

Imbricated design of alternating diagonal rows of adjoined triangles, in red cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?), and dark cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?). Foot is beaded with two rows of red cherry bark. Double looped border. Five small triangles imbricated on interior base in red cherry bark with dark cherry bark in center.

Mask made from cut out planks of wood formed in a rectangular-like shape with flat sides, an adjoining nose piece and two cylindrical shaped pieces of wood at the back. Detailed in red, black and green Northwest Coast stylized forms with rectangular shaped ears, bared teeth and large eyes. Hanging from the back bar are short, thin strips of cedar bark. (Similar to A4495).

Chilkat RobeA4454

Chilkat style robe with woven designs and fringe. The design is a three panel distributive. In the centre is an ancestor face surrounded by a diving whale (?) motif. The side panels continue the diving whale motif. The design is yellow, blue and black on natural ground. The two bottom corners have a checkered pattern in black and yellow, associated with the identity of the weaver. There is a long twisted fringe on three sides of mixed wool and cedar bark.

Irregular wood piece that bends at an angle while tapering at one end. Both ends have a knob around which string and bark cording are attached. Linear design in black consists of two horizontal bands around either end and pair of circles with tapering ovals around the natural elbow-like features where the piece bends at an angle.

Octopus figure consisting of a stuffed light brown cloth with circular, bone button eyes and braided cedar bark tentacles. The cloth forms a round head and a square shaped neck, the fabric has remnants of red colouring. The mouth is triangular in shape and made with a strip of braided cedar bark. Small strips of skin are sewn around the cedar bark tentacles at the top and bottom of each braid. A few small pieces of feather are adhered to the skin.
