Very heavy, cast bronze drum. The round drum head has a 14-pointed star at the centre, with many bands of dots, swirls and linear designs, and three larger bands with various birds, animals and humans. The sides are also decorated with many bands of designs except for the lower base, which is plain. There are four large handles attached to the sides. The inside is hollow. The metal appears to have a bronze coloured paint applied over the entire outer surface.
Betel nut tray set consisting of a round metal bowl-like stand (part a), that sits on a round tray base (part b), and has another round metal insert tray (part c). Inside the upper tray are a betel nut cutter (part d) and five small metal containers with lids. Four of the containers have rounded sides and lids (parts e-l); the fifth container has straight sides and an insert, as well as a lid (parts m-o). The bowl-like stand, tray base and insert tray are all decorated with floral and curvilinear motifs; additional dragon-like designs around the edges of the insert tray. The lids on all of the metal containers are decorated with multiple incised rings.
Thorn carving depicting a soldier in army fatigues. Full camouflage outfit with wide-brimmed camouflage hat. The figure holds a long-barreled gun across their body. The figure's feet are adhered to a Federation of Nigeria halfpenny(?) coin.
Metal staff with a single bell at the top. Bell is pocket-shaped with wide flat side seams that are pierced with holes. Two metal rings are looped through different holes, one with two Federation of Nigeria Halfpennies from 1959 attached through their centre holes. A small phallic point extends from the staff's shaft below the bell.
Small sword. The curved blade is decorated with six cutout lines and an X design with a dot in each angle. Two rows of small hammered curved lines outline the edge of the blade and around each cutout. The handle depicts a seated female with hands on knees. She wears a tall pointed headdress with two smaller ear-like points extending out. She has small pointed breasts, a large protruding naval, wears a large necklace with triangular pendant, and has a band around her waist, which repeats down the handle three more times. Her cheeks are marked with lines representing scarification(?).
Mirror-like object with a flat disk-shaped reflective surface and a decorative bronze handle. The handle depicts a seated male, hands on knees, smoking a pipe. He wears a headdress, chest is wrapped in an X-shaped harness(?), and his genitalia is exposed. His cheeks are marked with three lines. The iron(?) disk has a hammered decoration around the edge, creating an eight point asterisk design.
Small hand bell with a small flat-headed humanoid figure as a handle. The bell gradually widens to the rim, which has a single decorative belt. The body is decorated with two simple human faces, each facing opposite directions. The body clearly shows how the bell was formed with a very apparent seam. The metal clapper is composed of a series of three different metal loops attached to one another - the second appearing to be a more recent addition.
Thick, oval-shaped metal bracelet with open ends. The circular band is golden brown, and has geometric patterns incised all along the front side. The pattern is mirrored on the sides with a central design. Next to the open ends there are five vertical lines, followed by a wide "X" with vertical lines in the top and bottom angles, and then another wide "X" with vertical lines in the left and right angles. In the middle of the bracelet design there is an irregular-shaped oval with vertical lines inside of it. The bracelet has traces of corrosion in the incised designs.
Thin, oval-shaped metal bracelet with open ends. The band itself is rectangular; the surface is undecorated. Bracelet surface shows some tarnish and corrosion.
Pair of bronze fittings modelled in the form of tigers. The two figures are oriented so their bodies face opposite directions, with the heads in high relief, turned to face front. Both figures have incised linear designs, from the facial markings to the ends of the paws, as well as diagonal lines down the tails. Each figure has one front and one back leg, with the paws shaped into circular forms, with a hole in the centre of each. The back of each figure is hollowed out, with a half-circle attachment projecting out from behind the main body area.
