Pointed bamboo hat with strap in interior. Brim has four rounded corners. Sides covered in a small hexagonal woven pattern.
Possibly a nose flute? Large cylindrical flute-shaped instrument of bamboo stem. The flute has split on an angle into two pieces. One piece (part a) is larger, and the other piece (part b) has a triangular notch and a hole through to the opposite side. Various designs have been burned(?) into the wood: concentric circles; zigzags; hourglass; and zoomorphic figures. (Small piece of tape with collector number adhered to one end.)

Bamboo breast plate. Long row of 27 bamboo rods placed parallel to each other, attached together by plant fibre twine that is knotted at one end.
Plain, cylindrical container (part a) with lid (part b). Container is darker around the smaller upper portion, has a smaller lighter portion just below, and has a medium brown larger lower portion. Lid is decorated with a band of woven rattan in brown and black. Surface of bamboo is shiny.
Bamboo flute. A thick, hollow cylinder of bamboo is sealed at one end by a natural node, with a large hole bored through the stalk beneath it. The opposite end is open. The entire cylinder of bamboo has been scratched with small, fine zigzagging lines in a variety of patterns, from squares, to triangles, to long sets of opposing diagonals. The designs are coloured a light brown. Interior is undecorated.
Paper fan advertising a Vietnamese water puppet troupe. Collapsible fan is made of tan coloured paper attached to thin bamboo sticks that are gathered at bottom and held together with a metal rivet. On one side is printed NŪA ROI NÓ’UOC THĂNG LONG at top, with the logo of the "Thang Long Water Puppet Troupe” below, this lettering arching over the stylized image of a crowned red puppet standing in water. On the other side of the fan is written QŪY VĂN HÓA THÀNH PHÔ’ H`A NộI . HA NOI CULTURAL FUND above a blue logo of two hands holding a small building. Location information is printed on both sides in blue.
Six different drumsticks. All are made of cut lengths of bamboo, ranging in length from 23 cm to 39 cm. Parts e-f have been narrowed slightly at one end and are covered with a black coating. The other sticks have not been modified or coated.
