Armour3629/1

Armoured vest made of wood, with bone plates across exterior; interior is lined with woven plant fibre. Back panel of vest is longer than front flaps. Plant fibre lining right shoulder strap and front flap has sections dyed red; rest of vest lining is naturally coloured. Front flaps of vest secure with a fibre tie that knots around two large circular buttons, made of bone, with grooves cut into them; tie has seeds threaded through ends. Additional decorative button-like squares along front opening and large circles attached to shoulder straps.

Bone club with flat paddle-shape. There is a human-like head carved midway down the shaft. The sides of the face are on the flat edge, with the figure's nose and extended tongue on a narrow edge. On the porous side of the bone, there are two faded crescent-shapes painted in red and black. The shaft tapers in to a handle with a small hole through it.

Knife3635/7

Short knife consisting of a stone biface blade with antler handle. Blade is triangular with a rounded point; tang inserted in between two pieces of antler. Antler pieces have flat interiors, with carved notches where tang fits, and rounded exteriors; making handle cylindrical. Pieces of handle are attached with metal rivets and sinew lashing.

Jacket3558/7

Buckskin jacket with bead and fringe decoration. Jacket has a wide notched collar, long sleeves, two patch pockets and centre opening. Front and back of jacket have triangular panels, extending from the neck opening and ending mid-jacket. Five antler buttons along right side of front opening. Pink and dark purple flowers with green leaves beaded underneath collar, on either side of opening; petaled flowers have yellow centres. Identical flowers beaded across centre back, in a "V"-shaped formation. Bottom of "V" has a large dark purple and white flower, with an orange centre. Decorations on back are in the triangular panel. Fringe decoration is attached to the edges of the triangular panels, top edge of pockets, back seam of sleeves, and bottom edge of jacket. Interior is lined with dark brown fabric.

Dance Apron3558/2

Black dance apron with leather fringe extending from the bottom edge. Apron has two long black ties on either side; two copper designs on front centre, done in red felt. Coppers have a bear design on the top half and "T"-like design on the bottom. White buttons are stitched across the red felt. Leather fringe alternates between plain and beaded pieces; additional antler decoration on fringe with beads. Beads consist of black, red and white circular beads and alternating black and white tube beads. Back of apron is undecorated.

Knife3589/1 a-b

Ceremonial parang (part a) with scabbard (part b). Long knife has a cylindrical horn hilt that tapers towards top; rectangular protrusion extends from left side. Both top half of hilt and protrusion are hollowed out. Circular, curvilinear, linear, and fang-like motifs carved in relief along upper half of hilt; hilt grip covered with woven band of rattan. Holes are drilled into the tapered section of the hilt, for hanging purposes; hilt attached to blade with resin. Knife blade is convex on one side, slightly concave on the other, and widens from the hilt; back edge of point is tiered. Linear, "X" designs, geometric, and curvilinear motifs incised along front of blade. Scabbard is composed of wood sheath for the long knife, and has a smaller plant fibre and fabric sheath tied to back with rattan. Wood sheath is made of two pieces of wood bound together with rattan; upper two bands of rattan are plain, bottom four are tied decoratively. Panels decorated with floral and curvilinear motifs carved along front of wood sheath. Smaller sheath is undecorated and has two pieces of bamboo along the interior edges, providing shape. Long braided rattan cord, with looped ends, threaded through small sheath, for carrying purposes.
