Obverse has bust, wearing liberty cap, holding laurel sprig, decorated front panel, "Republique Francaise" around, P Turin right. Reverse has sprays of rice separating 20 cent value, "Indochine Francaise" around, S mintmark at bottom.

Round coin, holed, denomination right, left, spray, chrysanthemum top; flower design around hole, text around, wavy background. Obverse has 8 petalled flower around central hole, dai Nippon top, dots left, right, Taisho year bottom, wave design around. Reverse has 10 sen, chrysanthemum top, panduras spray bottom. Text reads right to left; Taisho Year 11.

Round, square centre hole, outer and inner rims on both sides, 4 characters on obverse, 2 characters on reverse; khang hi thong bao in Chinese characters, read top-bottom-right-left on obverse; reverse has Manchu words boo yuwan (board of works) left-right; extra metal in centre hole.

Rectangular, 3 characters on obverse, reverse has 1 character incuse, 4 characters raised, border of dots, background of raised lines. Obverse has ichi shu gin top to bottom (1 shu silver). Reverse has tei top (incuse), joutei Ginza in 2 columns bottom (Made in Ginza). Location of flower which has 2 petals above instead of 1 determines the variety.

Curved blade attached to a brown, wooden, downward curving handle with full tang. At the point where the blade meets the handle the knife is bound with dark green cloth wound over with gold-coloured metal wire.
