Frontlet carved with three-dimensional central figure. Figure has wings but human-like face. Another smaller face between wings. Abalone inlay used for eyes, mouth, wings and inlays around border. Paint colours are blue, red and black. Carving goes right through the wood, in the neck area.

Mask with a piece of abalone suspended from the nose. The mask is painted with black eyebrows, green around the eyes, red nostrils and lips, a black moustache, and a black scalloped design around the mouth area, suggesting gills. The forehead is painted with a black design that suggests a fish tail.

There is red paint between the brows, around the eyes, on the bottom of the nose, and on the lips. Human hair is attached to the top of the mask. Mouth and eyes inlaid with abalone. A thin string is threaded through holes either side of the face.
