Red rectangular apron panel with embroidered decorations across surface; back is black with red trim along edges. Embroidered front has central black rectangle bordered with plain red, gold and black lines; exterior border of panel is red. Red elongated hexagons, diamonds and triangles fill entire interior of rectangle; hexagons surround sides of diamonds, triangles fill the negative spaces. Flowers embroidered on hexagons; done in white, pink and gold. Diamonds and linear motifs on diamonds and triangles respectively; done in gold thread.

Cloth3559/63

Rectangular indigo cloth with opium poppy motif. Poppy motifs consist of four poppies in an "X" shape, with the stems connected at the centre, inside two squares that cover length of cloth. Squares are made up of wide bands filled with smaller squares and plain lines; three diagonal lines through each small square with alternating direction lines. Back of cloth is undecorated.

Long tie with an alternating square pattern along length; squares alternate between pink and maroon with a cross design in centre. Cross alternates between dark yellow with purple trim and white with olive green trim. Squares are divided by "I"-shaped borders that alternate between black with dark yellow tips and dark yellow with olive green tips.

Pink woven bag with braided strap and decorated with multicoloured bobbles of yarn. Bag body is circular and has horizontal bands across surface; stripes are yellow, blue, white, and green, with other colours interspersed throughout. Braided band along bag opening, with long pieces of bobble fringe extending from it. Bag strap is knotted in the centre, with bobble fringe around knot; strap done in green, white, purple, black, and red, with other colours interspersed throughout.

Teapot3559/54 a-d

Teapot with lid (parts a-b) that fits over a burner (part c) with a round grate, that sits flat inside it (part d); all pieces are made of unglazed clay. The circular teapot is squat with a wide opening, flared lip, short spout and U-shaped handle. The thin lid has a tall knob in the centre; knob and outer edge of lid are decorated with incised circles. The burner is circular, tapers towards the bottom, and has a flat base. Three protrusions are evenly spaced along top edge, to hold the teapot; they have flat fronts, rounded tops and they curve inward. Interior walls protrude halfway down burner, to hold grate in place; rectangular opening along front bottom edge. The grate has seven cutouts across it.

Phallic-shaped amulet with a monkey wrapped around the top. Smiling monkey's facial features are carved in relief; diagonal lines across limbs and tail, imitating fur. Curvilinear motifs carved along length of amulet. Cutout where the monkey's tail loops overtop of amulet, forming a ring for hanging purposes.

Teapot3559/53 a-b

Unglazed clay teapot with two spouts (part a) and a lid (part b). Circular teapot has a flat lip that folds over slightly onto the shoulder. Shoulder is rounded; sharp ridge in between shoulder and main body of teapot. Bottom half of teapot has straight walls that taper to a flat base. Both spouts are on front of the teapot, angled in opposite directions. Spout on left has a small opening and has been pinched together on bottom side; spout on right is wide and cylindrical. Teapot lid is flat with a circular indentation in the centre. Small knob in middle of indent; knob consists of two pieces of clay pinched together.

Rice Dish3559/52 a-h

Clay dish with seven round indents (part a), each with its own cover, or lid (parts b-h); indents then function as feet for dish. Top of dish is painted(?) a darker shade than the natural clay; lids and base of dish are unglazed. Edges of dish curve upward slightly; sides are decorated with scallops, using clay from underside of dish. All covers are cone-shaped and have circular knobs on top, for handling.

Black woman's jacket with front opening and side slits. Strips of dark blue and orange cloth trim the collar; tassels embroidered at the ends. Sleeves have striped appliqués and open spaces in the armpits; stripes done in blue, white, red, and grey. Large embroidered panel across back consists of bands with geometric and linear motifs; designs done in red, white, blue, black, grey, yellow, pink, and olive green. Panel is outlined in white beads; triangles, made up of white buttons, extend from bottom edge to end of shirt.
