Bronze sitting couple. A man and woman sit side by side on a bench. Both figures have long, oblong heads. The male wears a small hat on top of his head, and has a flat beard that extends out from his chin. The man rests his right hand and on the woman's right shoulder, and the remaining hands are all rested on their knees. The woman is bare breasted and has her hair back or wears a headdress.

Circular label on rice paper backing with gold leaf background, outlined in a pink scalloped pattern. Four pink circles surround a green square. Large, old, wooden shield, re-painted with an image of a character called "Phantom Man" over most of the front surface. The superhero’s torso is depicted, clothed in a tight purple head cover and shirt that emphasizes his musculature. A blue, black and white belt sits at his waist. Hands and face are white and he wears large black framed, grey lensed glasses. Behind him, the surface of the shield is painted orange through which can be seen decorative perforations in circular and linear designs. "PHANTOM" is written in large red letters across the top of the shield, and above this are vine strips and a few feathers tied around the top edge. The reverse side of the shield is unpainted and has a loop of braided vine attached at the centre, with another attached in two places on the left side. Image colours are orange, purple, red, white, black and blue.

Owl Figure2731/186

Vintage, barrel-chested white clay owl has details hand painted in brownish black, except for orange eyes and beak, over a whitish gray background. Head and underside of wings and tail are spotted and the body is covered with large, thickly outlined overlapping feathers. Beak is open and base is painted brown.

Carved mask with three areas of zigzag designs at each temple and upper forehead. Deep eye sockets with protruding eyes, each angled upwards from centre. Under each eye are two drilled holes, with a thin, twisted string threaded through and tied at back. The bulbous forehead has a circlular protuberance at the centre, above two concave brow ridges; linear pattern on each cheek. Vertical lines extend down nose to small circular mouth. Carved, triple-turn infinity design on chin.

Ancestor Mask3573/26

Murik Lakes ancestor mask. Carving of an oblong and narrow face, with a prominent nose with a curved tip extending beyond the lower part of the face. The nose has two columns of holes drilled above the nostrils(?), and along the outer edge of each ear. Mask is painted red for the lips, ears, and extending down from the eyes to the nose, black on the lower portion of the face, extending up and around the eyes, and with white lime pigment in the designs on the forehead. The small eyes and mouth are cutout. Plant fibre is looped through the top. Interior of mask is concave.

Bronze antelope. Stands on four long, straight legs. It has a long, pointed tail that hangs between the hind legs. Raised concentric circles covering the long cylindrical body in rows. Long, narrow face with raised concentric circles for eyes, tall curled horns, and thin ears pointed back and out to sides.
