Large indigo dyed, rectangular, warp ikat, made of factory spun yarn. One panel down the length with beige designs on a dark blue background. On either side, also down the length, are alternating bands of solid dark black-blue with beige and black designs outlined in orange. Both ends have dark black-blue fringe with white tips.
Small lime bottle with a small stopper carved into a head. The bottle is made of bone, hollowed on the inside. The mouth of the bottle is oblong in shape, sitting slightly off centre. The bottle widens toward the base. The body is decorated with small incised triangles that make up a repeating figurative motif. Part ‘b’ is the bottle stopper or lid, carved into the shape of a human head and neck. The forehead is long, nose and ears prominent. The eyes are lightly carved circles, and the mouth a carved line. A small tuft if hair is carved into the top of the head. A hole is bored through the neck and filled with a small red bead at back. The surface is shiny.
Women's embroidered tube skirt (lau pahudu). The naturally-dyed, handspun cotton was hand loomed on s back-strap loom in a continuous supplementary warp weave. Made of two different pieces of fabric hand-sewn together at the waist, the bottom red tube portion with side seam has several large, white, emboidered ancestor figure motifs framed by horizontal bands of yellow and brown, while the upper multi darted bodice has horizontal stripes of black, and red with white zigzag motifs. Two metal hooks with thread eyes close the side opening of the bodice.
Men's waist cloth in hand spun, orange, yellow, cream and brown natural dyed cotton. Two warp faced panels, stitched together with red thread in a vertical seam, have a warp ikat pattern and stripes with hook and key geometric patterns in the warp. The fringe at both ends is two-ply ends, with alternating loose warps.
Hand loomed cotton selèndang or shoulder cloth. Woven with a warp ikat technique, the two bands of ivory coloured design on the brown fringed cloth are separated by three stripes of yellow, green and pink.
Women's tube skirt, predominantly blue (indigo), and red (morinda citrifolia). Hand loomed on backstrap loom with continuous warp. Three panels of cloth, stitiched together length-wise to form a large square, are then hand sewn together to form a tube skirt with side seam.
Tube skirt (ei) hand loomed on back-strap loom with continuous warp. Two identical panels of handspun cotton, patterned in red, brown, black, green and beige, have been joined together horizontally with large hand stitches, then sewn together to form a tube skirt with one thick side seam and a thick band of black at top and bottom.
Rectangular cloth with multi-coloured orange stripes and a thicker centre stripe of yellow and black motifs. Both short ends have a twisted fringe.
Men's waist cloth made up of four panels of warp faced cloth stitched together vertically with hems at each end on opposing sides. The rust-red, cream and brown of the hand spun cotton warp ikat patterns are natural dye while the narrow blue and green supplementary warps are commercial dye and mercerized cotton.
Cloth with centre panel of mirrored images of light brown birds with orange feathers, and other light brown designs on dark brown ground. Ends have an orange washed-out appearance. Two orange panels of yellow, white, blue and brown stripes, flanking centre panel and sewn on either side. Fringe at both short ends.
