Stone carving of a goose on a separate antler base (part b). Goose is made of polished black stone in a resting position with its head turned back. Fours lines are carved on the back to show wings; for eyes there are small circular lines with a tiny hole indented in the centre. The goose has a hole in the bottom at centre for the stand's peg. The antler stand is a Y-shaped piece with the ends rounded off, and a wooden peg inserted at the centre. Artist name and community inscribed on bottom of goose.
Whale bone carving of a woman and child. The main piece is the torso, head and raised arms of a woman, with the upper part of a child carved as if located in a hood on her back. Part b is a large separate whale bone knife that balances in her left hand. Unsigned.
Three stone carvings representing a dancing walrus family, mother (part b), father (part c) and child (part d), pegged on top of a carved stone boot (part a). All pieces are in a green-grey stone; the boot and female in a lighter green, the male and child in a darker green, all with dark spots. Each walrus has plastic(?) inlay creating black and white eyes, and bone(?) tusks and bottom pegs adhered in place. There are three evenly spaced holes drilled in the top of the kamik-style carved boot. Artist syllabics are inscribed on the base of the boot.
Stone carving of a predator type bird (eagle?). Made of a grey-green stone with copper brown areas. Standing bird looking forward with its wings folded. Incised eyes. The abstract feet form a triangle for the base. The back of the wings, top of the head, tail, beak and base all have copper colouring. Artist inscription on base
White (beluga) whale attached to an antler base. Carved whale of tusk, with pectoral fins glued in place. Appears to have a wooden peg attached firmly to the flat antler base. Green ink has been added to the round incised eyes and the ]-shaped blowhole on top. The small tail appears to have been broken and reattached. Artist inscription on base in green marker.
Male doll, in seated position, with dried seal skin face. Nose, mouth and eyes are done in relief. Eyes are coloured with dark blue ink(?). Small holes in nose, imitating nostrils. Large tongue sticking out of mouth; cleft chin is pronounced underneath. Eyebrows and hair made of seal fur. Figure is wearing seal fur clothing, consisting of a parka, mittens, pants and boots. Parka hood is pointed and has leather ties hanging from the tip. Hood, cuffs and bottom edge are trimmed with sheep fur. Matching trim along pant openings.
Doll, in standing position, with a stone face. Eyes are incised, nose and mouth are carved in relief. Figure is wearing dark blue wool clothing, consisting of a parka, pants, mittens and boots. Parka has white fur trim on the hood, cuffs and front bottom edge. Back of parka extends into a long flap, bordered with a wide white band. Pants have two white embroidered lines on each leg. Leg openings bordered with large white bands, decorated with pink embroidered lines. Boots have two white embroidered lines around their centres. Vamps are light grey. Manufacturer’s mark attached to back interior of parka.
Pair of wool doll mittens, joined by a braided yellow and lavender cord. Multi-coloured pompoms towards ends of cord. Mittens are cream-coloured with dark yellow stitching along the seams. Openings bordered with band of dark purple and white diagonal lines. Two rows of embroidered decoration above border. First row is a yellow zigzag; second is green scalloped line. Green crosses embroidered on the thumbs and top of the mittens.
Small carving of a seal. The seal is on its stomach with its head raised and looking left. The body is propped up on its fore flippers. Its lower body is curved to the left, hind flippers pointed to the right. Circular indents in the face, imitating eyes and nostrils, with an incised line below, imitating the mouth. Claws are carved in relief. Carving is unsigned.
