The oval-shaped disc has a black geometric design made with three parallel lines on the front side. There are three holes at the top of the disc.
Bark painting divided into two sections; each section contains an arrangement of abstract looking patterns that are said to represent a snake, oysters and water. Inscription in white chalk on back.
L-shaped boomerang with short end and small portion of long end painted white, rest of long end painted red, and a grey line separating the two colours. On top side, tip of long end is smooth with a tooth-patterned band and then the rest of the boomerang has grooves carved into it. On bottom side, the surface is smooth.
Hollow memorial pole with designs painted across the exterior. Assorted designs circle pole in five wide bands, divided into four columns; done in white, maroon, black and dark yellow. The dark yellow and black pigment alternate in the bands as a primary colour; white and maroon are dominant colours throughout. Columns in each band alternate between an animal design and rows of interconnected diamonds; zigzags, plain lines and dot motifs throughout. Bands are separated with three plain yellow lines over alternating maroon and black lines. From top to bottom of pole, the animals are: crayfish, turtles, herons, fish and frog-like figures. Interior is undecorated.
Painting on a rectangular piece of slightly warped bark; depicts Njaljod (the Rainbow Serpent). Painting background is orange-red and the undulating serpent spans the entire width. Serpent has a thick body that narrows at the neck and tail, an oval-shaped head with an open mouth, and two small circular eyes. A long, white forked tongue extends from mouth, into bottom right corner of painting. Body of serpent is decorated with chevrons filled with cross-hatched bands; bands are dark yellow, maroon, black, and white. Lines dividing chevrons are maroon and decorated with alternating black and white dots. White bands run along curves of serpent, with maroon diagonal lines spaced throughout. White flowers extend from the bottom and top of serpent, at the centre of the painting. Wooden rods are tied to either side of painting, with plant fibre ties. Back of painting is undecorated; inscriptions written throughout and a paper label is adhered to centre. (Metal hanging hardware along top edge).
Painting on a long, thin and rectangular piece of slightly warped bark; depicts Yurlungurr (the Great Snake). Painting background is maroon with sections of black and dark yellow; maroon is covered in white dots. Main design consists of two large, curled serpents in centre of painting. Snakes have thick bodies that taper at white, oval-shaped heads and pointed tails. Short, white forked tongues extend from mouths; both have maroon circular eyes. Bodies are decorated with diagonal bands filled with cross-hatching; bands are maroon, white and dark yellow. Snake bodies are outlined in maroon with white dots throughout. Neck of top snake is dark yellow, bottom snake has a black neck. The space surrounding the top snake is black, space around bottom snake is dark yellow. Throughout painting background there are large semi-circles, fan palms, and animals. All background decorations are done in maroon, black, white and dark yellow; cross-hatching and dot motifs throughout. Back of painting is undecorated; paper label is adhered to centre.
Large woven basket with a long handle that extends overtop of the entire basket; strap ends are stitched along top interior edge. Strap consists of three coiled strands. Handle has stiffened and sits above rim of basket. Body is circular and has a wide coiled rim. Sides and base are decorated with bands of alternating open and closed weave; open sections have a grid pattern with diagonal lines throughout them. Entire basket is naturally coloured.
Painting on a rectangular piece of slightly warped bark; depicts a spirit figure. The background is painted orange-red, figure is beige and wearing a wide-brimmed hat and full-body suit. Face of figure is rectangular, and has black eyes and a wide frowning mouth. Arms are held up and knees are bent, with feet turned toward one another; figures spans entire bark piece. Both hat and suit have an alternating stripe pattern, done in red, white and dark yellow; stripes are made up of cross-hatching. Cuffs, neckline and centre of full-body suit have beige bands with red dots throughout. Identically patterned beige bands extend from elbows and connect to knees; two striped bands extend from bottom edge of hat and connect to feet. Rectangle protrudes from bottom of figure's body and has two beige points along the bottom edge; rectangle decorated with the alternating stripe pattern. The background consists of black and brown-red stripes, of varying widths; blocks of dark yellow throughout stripe pattern. Outer edge of painting is trimmed with white bands filled with black diagonal lines, dark red vertical lines, and black and dark red dots. Figure spans entire bark piece, arms are held up and knees are bent; hands and feet are beige, face is decorated with black and maroon bands, made up of cross-hatching. Head is oval-shaped; white circular eyes frame a large, beige triangular nose, maroon dots across nose. Figure is wearing a full-body suit with an alternating stripe and chevron pattern, done in maroon and dark yellow; patterns are made up of cross-hatching. Dark yellow band runs down centre of suit, alternating sections of black and white dots throughout. Edges of suit are trimmed with white and maroon dots. Semi-circular shapes protrude from either side of chest, underneath bent arms; done in orange and decorated with white striped bands. Additional white bands decorate background, filled with black and maroon dots. Back of painting is undecorated; inscriptions written across surface. (Hanging hardware attached along top centre edge.)
Large, oval-like basketry mat, with central circular weaving. Naturally dyed designs in circle consist of concentric bands- of varying widths, colours and designs- around a dark yellow circle. The bands are (from centre out): plain light purple; vertical rows of yellow and light purple; plain white; white strands bound together with light purple; plain light purple; diagonal lines of orange and black; strands of yellow, orange and light purple bound with black; strands of yellow, orange, light purple and black bound with dark purple and orange; and strands of yellow, orange, light purple, black and dark purple bound with white. Long strands making up central weaving extend from edges in a spiral, forming mat’s overall oblong shape.
