Mmwo helmet mask. Carved from a single piece of wood, the mask depicts a female face with an ornate coiffure. Face is cream coloured, with patches of pink. Black outlines surround protruding ears, narrow rectangular eye holes and open mouth with square teeth. Face is decorated with 2 black bands on forehead, 4 in front of each ear and a raised curved line on each cheek. A short black line runs from lower lip to chin. Small holes ring base of mask. Intricate black headdress carved with lines and circles. 5 rounded twists protrude on each side of head. A thin curved board extends from forehead to middle of scalp with 6 rounded triangles atop rectangular pedestals. Forehead is carved with vertical lines.
Carved female figure seated on remains of a chair. Figure sits upright, right arm bent at elbow, holding a palm nut container with a horizontal line carved around the middle. Stool is short and round with slats at the back and the remains of a backrest on the protruding buttocks. Long round neck decorated with raised necklace. Head is narrow with small wide lips, flat nose, and ears flattened against head. Eyes are open with carved pupils and darkened irises, with three lines carved under each eye. Tall thin headdress forms an arch on top of head. Vertical bars meet a centre band spanning the length of headdress. Horizontal bands are carved into scalp with a vertical band connecting to headdress.
Standing female figure (ibeji) on square base. Female stands upright with arms connected to waist. Round eyes are closed with 3 pointed lines carved under each. Ears are flat against the head. Fibre loops strung with small oval shells are tied around each arm. Stylized triangles are carved into the chest and lower back. Breasts form rounded points. Headdress is short with a ridge extending around the head. Raised vertical lines connect to the middle of the ridge to form a flat triangle. Horizontal lines circle all parts of the headdress with traces of blue pigment remaining in the crevices.
Standing female figure (ibeji) on flat base. Female stands upright, arms curved to connect with thighs. Long fingers carved into hands. Thin rounded stomach under pointed breasts. Stylized face is round with wide lips, flat nose, and 3 thin lines on each cheek. Eyes are open with round pupils and dark irises. Ears stick out from head. Thin headdress carved with ripple pattern curves around back and narrows before flaring out at neck. Top band connects to vertical bands carved with same pattern. Traces of blue pigment on eyes and headdress. Feet have faint imprint of long toes.
Standing male figure (ibeji) on square base. Wide shouldered male figure stands upright, arms curved to connect with the hips, protruding phallus. Face is stylized and intricately carved, with angular ridged nose, large eyes with carved decoration across centre, three groves down each cheek, and ears that connect with the neck. Headdress is tall, consisting of several joined V shapes that meet at top centre, connecting with a round piece, pointed at bottom, circular and carved at top.

Intricately carved face with open mouth, angular nose, and 3 ovals carved on each cheek, each with a line down the middle. Small squares across the middle of each eye. Ears are flattened against head. Tall headdress consists of 4 sections split by vertical bands. Each section is decorated with 2 bands of horizontal lines, 3 on the bottom and 2 on the top.
Standing wood figure (ibeji) on circular base. Wide shouldered male stands upright, arms curved to connect with thighs. Long fingers with nails are carved on each hand. Wide shoulders and thin stomach are smooth, with only belly button protruding. Phallus between legs. Long flat feet are carved with long toes. Minimally carved face has small holes for eyes, and indents for nose and mouth. Ears are flattened against side of head. Porous headdress is carved with vertical lines. Back is angular with protruding rounded buttocks. Figure is wearing a necklace with half white and half green beads around two red beads.
Standing wood figure (ibeji) of a male; arms curve to connect with thighs. Long fingers with nails are carved on each hand. Slightly protruding stomach and chest are smooth without any decoration, as is back. Phallus protrudes from mid-section. Angular foot is carved with horizontal lines. Face is highly stylized with open mouth showing square teeth, 3 vertical lines on each cheek, angular nose, long ears flattened against head, and open eyes with metals studs for pupils. Figure is wearing a necklace strung with mostly blue, white and red beads. Central beads are white and yellow and black and yellow. Headdress tapered to thin point above head and is carved with diagonal lines and triangles. Rounded triangle drops over forehead.
Rattle drum with beater. Drum is constructed of a wooden core with a long thin centre that widens on both ends, where they are covered with stretched skin. The drum skins are attached to a rounded wooden rim by thick thread. Dozens of twisted strands of hide stretch between the two rims, partially hiding the wooden core. A leather strap is tied to a strand on one side, and a woven rope is attached to one rim by a thong of hide on the side opposite. Inside the wooden core are small dark brown seeds that create a rattling sound when the drum is moved. Part b is a beater carved from a single piece of wood, with a handle that narrows as it reaches a bend at top that culminates in a cone shape that is used to hit the drum.
Horned cap-like headdress. Helmet (part a) is made of half a rounded gourd, with rows of cowrie shells evenly sewn on in concentric circles, nearly covering the outer surface. Two long, curving horns, heavily ridged, emerge from the top of the headdress, tips pointing inward toward each other. (One horn--part b--can be removed.) From the rim of the gourd hangs a chin strap of braided tan and black leather with a leather tassel painted with black lines attached at centre along side a long, thin strap of leather covered on one side with cowrie shells, ending in a similar tassel . Parts 'c' through 'i' are similar strips that are detached from the headdress.
