Ceramic vessel with a black and dark red burnished surface. The body is divided into three sections by two raised horizontal lines. The bottom third is not polished and is heavily marked with repeating angled incised lines. Large lizard and beetle figures alternate around the centre section. The mouth is circular, with raised and flared lip, and the base rounded.

Ceramic vessel with a dark red surface that is heavily decorated with incised designs. The body is spherical, with two small decorative handles on opposite sides. The incised designs repeat within horizontal bands around the vessel. There are three raised bands above the foot, one at the shoulder, and another at the lip. The neck is long, flaring out to a circular mouth. The base rounded with a raised foot.

Vessel3420/3 a-b

Ceramic vessel (part a) with a red-brown burnished surface and incised markings along the shoulder. The design features a solid horizontal line, with repeating arches underneath. Within the space between every second arch is a cross shape. The mouth is circular, with raised and flared lip, and the base rounded. Also a round wicker base (part b) for the pot to sit on.

Puppet Frame Cover3420/80

Large textile that serves as a cover for the antelope puppet body frame (3420/99). Composed of three textiles, stitched together to create a large rectangluar textile, with another textile over the centre of the lower two. The top woven textile has horizontal bands of dark blue, dark green, and smaller bands of red, orange and green. There are small orange, red or white tassels in spaced in rows across the bands. The other two textiles form the bottom layer. One is red and white checkerboard, and the other is green and off-white checkerboard. There are roughly cut holes, three on one side, and two on the other, where puppets would be attached to the frame.

Gomintogo Mask3420/18

Mask carved from wood. The face is sunken, with a raised nose ridge down the centre of the face. There are two small rectangular cutouts for eyes. High on either side of the head are two C-shaped ears. The brow ridge is rounded. There are areas where pigment is still visible.

The incised designs repeat within horizontal bands around the vessel. There is one raised band at the shoulder, and another at the lip. The neck is long and straight, with a raised lip for a circular mouth. Within the neck, the surface is burnished. The base rounded with a raised foot.

Hunter's Tunic3420/45 a-b

Hunter's tunic (part a) with matching hat (part b). Tunic made of bright blue cloth. Rectangular black leather patches are attached all over, with long, thin strips of brown leather knotted to both sides, creating fringes. A few pieces are dyed red or green. White cowrie shells outline the neck, and are sewn in lines on the tunic. There is a five-sided pocket on the front, centre - with the three stitched edges lined in cowrie shells. The bottom edge is unfinished, and somewhat fringed from unravelling fabric. Small horns and small mirrors inset in leather are attached over the tunic. The woven hat has a circular mirror inset in leather between two curved horns at front, centre. A single row of cowrie shells lines the bottom edge.

Hunter's tunic (part a) with matching hat (part b). Tunic made of brown cloth. Rectangular black leather patches are attached all over, with long, thin strips of leather knotted to both sides, creating fringes. White cowrie shells outline the neck, and are sewn in lines on the tunic. Small horns and small mirrors inset in leather are attached over the tunic. The woven hat has three black leather patches with long, thin leather strips knotted on either side, evenly spaced on sides and back. At front, centre - there is a circular mirror inset in leather between two small horns. A single row of cowrie shells lines the bottom edge.

Rod Puppet3420/96

Bird puppet with a black head carved with designs, some painted yellow or dark green, and a large red beak. A dark blue and yellow ridge extends down the length of the head and bill. The lower jaw moves, and is controlled by a length of plastic cord that is tied to a lever within the head. The jaw has small rectangular sections of rubber attached on either side of the mouth. Three small yellow birds with green, light blue and black spots are carved at the back of the head. The centre bird is largest, with two smaller birds on either side of the head. The puppet has a short burgundy fabric neck.
