People walk amongst the tents, many headed for the central structure called the “Centre Traitment Cholera". A Red Cross ambulance unloads a man and a crowd waits patiently. The majority of the people are smiling. In the background are several tall trees, shorter palm trees, a multitude of flowers, houses with people going about their daily activities, and a dark blue and purple sky.

Relief of a bus, made of papier-mache and painted in brilliant colours of green, yellow,white, blue, red, brown and black. Painted driver and standing figures can be through the windows, a woman is sitting outside on the back, and the top is loaded with baskets and luggage. The sides of the bus are decorated with a rural scene and white dove, at front top is written the destination "ST PIERRE" and at back "JACMEL".
