Green silk and wool embroidered hat. Hat is four-sided, now folded flat on opposing sides. Each side meets a pointed centre crown. Light-yellow, white and black embroidery covers silk in fine crisscross pattern. White embroidery runs vertically down centre to brim; from mid-centre horizontally curving downwards; and from bottom centre horizontally curving upwards. White and brown branch-like embroidery ending with burgundy on opposite sides of white lines. Black velvet along brim.

Circular silk and cotton hat with paper support. Front brim features multicolour geometric embroidery and applique. Crown is pleated to a point and with burgundy damask silk. Green and silver circle around mid-crown, green and red at top of point. Lining is grey-white cotton.

Hat is small and square-shaped with pointed top. The exterior is a dark green velvet and the bottom is lined with a black velvet brim. The interior is lined with a red cotton fabric. Each side is decorated with an embroidered floral design with pink and blue flowers and green leaves.

Square textile panel. Panel is made of many small pieces of silk in light green, pink, yellow and purple, sewn together and embroidered with flowers, insects, feathers and other small shapes in similar colours as well as black. Several small round mirrors are incorporated into the design. Gold leaf ribbon delineates each piece of silk. Backing is black synthetic fibre, and several hanging loops are attached to top edge.

Round hat with metal applique. Sideband has four groups of embroidered flowers. Linear metal applique with coin-like ends hang past brim and alternates with beads vertically along sideband. Cone-shaped metal applique pieces are attached horizontally at the sideband-crown seam. Linear metal applique with engraved details alternate with vertical rows of multicoloured beads around crown. Centre of crown features tiered metal piece with inset plastic jewel. Back flap features geometric and floral embroidery ending in low point with two rows of alternating beads, and coin-like metal pieces on bottom corners.

Round red hat with tied knot at back. Brim features horizontal applique ribbon with geometric woven design of diamonds. Front is heavily beaded with four horizontal rows of crisscrossing beads below four semicircles of beads and shells, metal applique in centre. Either side features two coins, beaded at centre, with rows of beads around circumference, and applique ribbon repeated above. Rows of beads run horizontally from one side to the other, over crown. Knot tied at back sideband with triangular piece of fabric extending underneath knot and past brim.

Hat is round and short with a flat top. The hat has a short round visor attached to the front of the brim. The exterior is an olive green colour, and the interior is lined with a dark blue fabric. The brim’s interior is lined with a strip of synthetic brown fabric and there is a large manufacturer’s label on the interior crown.

Tunic3080/40 a-b

Tunic and pants set in bright orange silk. Tunic is long, with a round neck and long sleeves. Cuffs are decorated with metallic fibre embroidery showing gold and green diamonds between lines of silver, and flowers with foliage along with small gold sequins and beads. Blue sequin birds sit among the foliage. Similar motifs decorate the side slits of the tunic. Pants have a loose waist and wide legs, tapering slightly toward ankles. Ankle cuffs hold embroidery similar to wrist. Lower legs to knees are decorated with gold and green vines with regularly spaced small gold sequins throughout the design.

Textile panel. Triangular-shaped overall with a large square at centre, two small rectangles sewn at its sides, and a long band at bottom. Two short ties attached at top. Panels decorated with cut appliques in black, yellow, pink and blue, sewn to a backing of the same but contrasting colours. Appliques take the style of curling foliage or other organic material. Back of textile lined with a synthetic black fabric, slightly shiny, through which embroidery threads emerge.
