Turtle shell necklace. Composed of 16 pieces of highly polished turtle shell that increase in size from the back eye hook clasp to the centre with a large double-sided opalescent white shell pendant. The smallest shell pieces are rectangular. The larger pieces are rhombus-shaped. The largest pieces next to the pendant also have one curved edge - the edge nearest the pendant. The opalescent shell is adhered to an oval piece of turtle shell. The shells are attached by small metal loops through drilled holes. On the smaller pieces, the holes are centered but, as the pieces get larger, the holes are offset to one edge.
Oval basket with handles. Flat oval base with raised edge. Basket made of coiled flexible sticks(?) bound together with plant fibre stitching. Overall repeating diamond pattern on both exterior and interior worked in darker colours. Attached rounded handle is composed of four firm sticks(?) stitched together, with the outer two pieces plaited. Two woven handles with openings on opposite sides.
Belt of rattan. A long strip of thin wood is curved into a circle and wrapped with thin strips of rattan. On the exterior, the rattan is woven into patterns of ‘x’ shapes, triangles, and blocks of colour in dark brown and light yellow. A seam of green plastic runs horizontally through the centre of the designs. The interior rattan is dark brown and undecorated. At each end, a small stick is attached to aid in fastening the belt.
Bamboo flute. A thick, hollow cylinder of bamboo is sealed at one end by a natural node, with a large hole bored through the stalk beneath it. The opposite end is open. The entire cylinder of bamboo has been scratched with small, fine zigzagging lines in a variety of patterns, from squares, to triangles, to long sets of opposing diagonals. The designs are coloured a light brown. Interior is undecorated.
Lidded basket. Basket is round, flaring at the midpoint and narrowing toward the rim. It is made of coiled root overlaid with thin strips that are woven tightly around the root, and run vertically. The lip is thick, with strips covering it on the diagonal in a herringbone pattern. A stiff handle rises in an arc over the mouth, covered like the rim. Lid (part b) is constructed similar to the basket and fits snuggly inside the mouth. Its handle is round and protrudes from the slightly convex top.

At the throat on the dorsal surface is carved a stylized human with large headdress, sharp red teeth, broad nose, long thin neck, arms, hands and fingers. The figure is painted red and black. The tip of the blade on this side is red. On the ventral surface is a long raised and painted spine painted red and black, with thin arms and fingers again carved at the throat. The tip is painted black and red with a V-shaped design. The paddle’s shaft is long and straight, narrowing slightly toward the anterior end, and has no embellishment.
The tip is coiled with yellow-brown plant fibre, below which, there are the following: five sets of four small barbs; three sets of four increasingly longer barbs; and three sets of four small barbs. The point is decorated with a red and yellow grass sleeve with a horizontal zig zag pattern, a carved band that is emphasized with white and that consists of two figures (each of which has circular eyes and a double upward pointed nose), and a fibre tuft. Below, there is another red and yellow grass sleeve that has a pattern of red triangles on a yellow background. Bright red and yellow plant fibre coiling are at either ends of the grass sleeve. The red-brown wood shaft is plain.
The tip is coiled with red plant fibre, below which, there are the following: four sets of four small barbs; three sets of four increasingly longer barbs; and nine sets of four small barbs. The point is decorated with a red and yellow grass sleeve with a thin horizontal zig zag pattern, a carved band that is emphasized with white and that consists of two figures (each of which has circular eyes, a nose, and a smiling mouth), and a wood ball that is painted red except around the middle where there is a plain horizontal band. Below, there is another red and yellow grass sleeve that has a similar pattern as the one above but with a wider design. Bright red and yellow plant fibre coiling are at either ends of the grass sleeve. The red-brown wood shaft is plain.
