Multi-coloured saddle cover constructed of wool cut pile textile and decorated with complex geometric forms representing plants and animals. Roughly square in shape, but with two adjacent corners cut off at 45-degree angles to accommodate the shape of the back of the saddle. There is a 10 cm slit at the opposite end, close to the edge. Side edges are selvage; front and back edges are turned once and secured with a coarse running stitch.
Decorative, multicoloured saddle blanket, rectangular in shape and consisting of two identical square panels of thick knotted pile, separated by a 14.5 cm centre strip of dark blue cotton textile. Each of these panels is embellished with ram’s head, swastika and Greek key border motifs, surrounding a large diamond-shaped lozenge containing stylized floral motifs. The motifs are predominantly red, pink, light brown and off-white on a dark blue background; the lozenge shaped pattern appears on a red background. Two corners of the rectangle are notched. There are four small rectangular spots that are devoid of pile, exposing the burlap base fabric, two on either panel, which would be under the saddle when in use. The edges of the saddle blanket are bound with a wide (3.5-4 cm) band of red cotton corduroy, cut on the bias, and the back of the blanket is lined with pieced off-white cotton canvas.

It is fully lined with multi-coloured striped cotton textile, with a layer of wool batting between the blanket and the lining. Partially edged with embroidered binding. Multi-coloured and blue fringe is applied to all edges except the front edge.

Woman’s large embroidered shawl made from greenish black cotton textile, embellished with horizontal rows of red and off-white (or pale yellow) finely embroidered geometric designs worked in silk floss. Rectangular in shape and worn over the head with the wide dimension encircling the wearer; the top two corners are turned back and tacked down to the body of the shawl, where there are large clusters of red broken threads on each side where large ornaments may have once been attached. There is a dense row of bright red, white and blue glass beads and red silk tassels that extends from the edge of one turn-back to the other, at about 32 centimetres from the top of the shawl. The piece has a densely embroidered border and the sides and bottom are edged with a narrow brass(?) chain. The textile is pieced in places.
Colourful, decorative patchwork horse blanket. Roughly square in shape, but widened at the tail end by means of narrow triangular strips sewn on each side. The central design field is a patchwork of large multi-coloured squares: some squares contain small patchwork designs, some are solid-coloured, others contain embroidered designs and some are solid-coloured squares edged with cross-stitched borders. The central design field is bordered with a row of smaller multi-coloured squares, edged in solid black. The materials used to construct the squares are embroidered cottons, ikat silks, plain cotton broadcloth and machine printed cottons. Some elements are reclaimed from other sources. It is edged with tan commercially made, long (11.5 cm), twisted cotton(?) fringe along the back and sides of the tail end. The object is backed with striped and machine printed cotton textiles, which are pieced together; there is a light layer of cotton batting between the top and the backing.

Loops made of red and white braided wool or cotton are sewn near the bottom inside corners of the indentation. Two long, narrow triangular pieces are sewn at the outside edge of the opposite end of the rectangle. The predominant colours are red, brown, blue, yellow and greyish white, and the textile is woven in vertical stripes; red and blue stripes alternate with patterned stripes with blue, yellow and greyish white geometric forms. All outside edges are finished with brown wool braid and brown twisted fibre fringe. The fringe has been mended with orange fringe in a few places. The heavy layer of felted fleece (light brown with dark brown spots) that is used as a backing over the entire underside of the blanket is quilted to the top layer with running stitches.
