Brimless, short and rounded cap in a reddish-brown velvet with a light brown band covered by a wide ribbon of metal thread. The hat is very rigid. The top has four heart-shapes beaded in yellow, dark blue, orange, light green and light blue with points meeting at centre, and metal stylized floral embroidery within. Some sequins are incorporated in and around the design.

Brimless, short and rounded cap fully embroidered in rows of repeating designs that wrap around the band. The geometric and floral designs are stitched in pale grey-green, eggplant, deep pink and dark teal silk thread, outlined by orange-gold silk thread in chain stitch. The dome has a small eight-point star design at centre, with a ring of fern-like leaves encircling it. Edge hemmed with light green, white and purple band. Lined with solid beige fabric.

Shirt3377/12 a-e

Garment pieces - bodice (part a), body (part b), two cuffs (part c-d), and one sleeve (part e) - made from a beige cotton. The bodice is heavily embroidered in silk, front and back, with geometric and organic designs with small circular mirrors set within the embroidery. The collar is a pale purple-blue. The front opening has two snap closures. The simple body is composed of multiple pieces of fabric, and flares out slightly, with side slits on either side. The cuffs are dyed a pale purple-blue and embroidered with silk thread, each with a snap closure. The sleeve is a plain, tube-like construction, with purple-blue staining on end where it appears to have been cinched.

Vest3377/13

Silk vest with plaited gold-coloured metallic ribbon appliqué. The iridescent silk changes from dark pink to orange. Front has four flat pockets, two on each side, all heavily decorated with appliqué designs. On either side of the front opening are appliqué paisley designs. The entire garment is edged with two ribbons of metallic appliqué. The vest has a low collar, lined with a red and yellow floral fabric, and lapels. The left side of the opening has four button holes. Lined with a light brown fabric, and dark blue velvet strips on the side of each opening.

Teardrop-shaped, green velvet hat with a high rigid band. Pointed end has large circular fabric ornament, decorated with taupe leaf-shaped sequins and burgundy sequins. Hat heavily decorated with silver and burgundy sequins and royal blue beading in a diamond pattern around the band, and around the top of the hat. The top is decorated with a paisley-style design. All of the beaded and sequin elements are outlined by twisted metal thread.

Camel Cover3377/16 a-b

Camel cover. Large textile meant to drape over an animal's body. The frame is somewhat I-shaped with a solid rectangular body and two cross-sections of fabric that would drape near the animal’s limbs. Attached at one end is a head cover with triangular eye flaps and strips of fabric that would drape over the muzzle. On both sides, between the hanging strips and attached to the triangles along the main body, are four rows by eight columns of small fabric squares attached on corners to either the next square or main fabric. This is repeated with smaller squares of fabric hanging from the head cover. The squares have solid silks in olive green or deep purple, and Ikat pattern. Three attached squares (part b) have detached from the cover. The shoulder fabric and head cover have fringe or fabric tassels. The fabric face is deep pink-purples and greens, and is backed with reds and black.

Cape3377/15

Natural coloured cotton cape. The front opening, hem and cuffs are decorated with black machine made geometric designs and feather-like plant motifs. They are also edged in a deep purple-red plaiting. Two black vertical lines are stitched on either side of a seam, with colourful repeating diamond stitching over a portion of the seam near the top in yellow, bright pink, dark purple, light grey-green and burgundy silk thread. Small deep purple-red pompoms line the neckline, and there is one at each cuff seam and side slit. Small multicoloured tassels with small white beads hang from the front opening, three on each side. The neck, cuffs, front opening and bottom edge are lined with a burgundy fabric. On the back, below the neck, is an embroidered rectangular area, coloured dark reddish-pink and blue.

Long-sleeved dress with v-neck. Majority of dress is a green silk, with two blue rectangular patches on front. Hem, cuffs and front heavily embroidered in mainly orange, pink and red with many other colours. Large pentagon-shaped pocket on front with one opening on the right. Small mirror decorations on chest, hem and centre of front. Bright green silk patches on back of shoulders. Large pink section on lower back.

Pouch3332/14

Small fabric pouch composed of one piece of fabric folded on itself, then sewn on the bottom and a side, leaving an opening at the top. Central design is a large diamond, flanked by concentric triangles to create a square-shape. Within, heavily embroidered geometrical and floral designs and five small inset circular glass. Five off-white shell buttons along open edge. A single row of shells with knotted thread in orange, burgundy, and light blue-green between the shells across the bag on both sides. Four tassels with light blue beads, one red, green, taupe, and eggplant, one on each bottom corner, and one at end of each shell row. Each tassel wrapped with metallic thread. Small circular mirrors inset into dark purple circular embroidery around bottom and side edges.
