Sides - two bands of a "meander" pattern in purple on brown bordered with red. Lid - similar pattern; false embroidery on lid is green; lid has raised centre that rattles.

All sides have a distributive design. carved in shallow relief. The rim has operculum shells inlaid evenly all around.
