Medium woven textile. Dark brown with fine bands in white, pink, orange, blue, green, and floral patterns at one edge. Thick, vertical brown stripe down the centre with multi-coloured, thin stripes on either side of the brown. There are zigzag, patterned vertical stripes near both edges.

Long woven shawl. Dark brown with thick dark red bands at top, middle and bottom. There are green and red bands with white geometric patterns above the bottom band, on both sides of the central band and below the top band. These patterned bands are framed at top and bottom by a set of thin, plain rainbow-coloured bands. The edging has a pink, green and white zigzag pattern.

Black woven skirt with light blue, green, red, pink and purple patterns on waistband. Floral motif. Black textile with a thick stripe with geometric designs along both edges. One is a white and blue diamond pattern with flowers, alternating short and tall, been embroidered along the inside edge. The other is a maroon and white zigzag design.

Dish2862/9

Small brass offering dish, used to pour chicha. In its centre stands a small brass bull, attached by a pin protruding out of the centre of the dish. An incised star-like pattern decorates the inside of the bowl around the bull. The figures of angels are attached to either side of the bowl on the exterior, serving as handles. Around one is tied small pieces of yard in purple, red and brown.

Cape2862/40

Rectangular cape, with repeating woven “W” design, used in weddings. Cape has groups of decorative woven lines and motifs running vertically at the middle and both ends. At centre point is a line of embroidered triangle motifs in an array of colours. Along the outside edges are small red and green embroidered ‘knobs’.

Rectangular cape used in ceremonies. Cape has woven into it a strip of red in the centre, and two thinner strips of diamond patterns to each side. Close to the top and bottom are thin strips of colour and triangle patterning. Around the perimeter of the entire cape on the edge are woven small diamond shapes.

Brown, rectangular cape, may have been used to carry babies and objects on one’s back. It has woven into it vertical strips of patterning consisting of brown, light brown and tan strips of colour, and strips of patterns in swirls, lines, diamond shapes, and triangles. The cape has been sewn together down a centre seam.
