Huipil, or woman’s shirt. Tunic is made from two long pieces of red wool fabric sewn together vertically, fully open at the sides, with a strip of black velvet at arms and around neck. Front of tunic falls longer than back. Exterior is heavily embroidered with many colours, showing geometric designs at shoulders and waist, interspersed with horizontal strips of fruit and foliage, and multicoloured birds.
Deeply carved hollow bone tube. Intricately carved design all around surface. One small hole carved through surface on one side. Each end has an uncarved border section. One end was broken into four fragments--now restored. Small areas of loss at the repaired end.
Standing figure shown wearing double lobed headdress, large earspools, skirt and wide cape. Arms held horizontally at front. Traces of red paint. Two small holes above lower arms go right through to back of figure. Another small hole in base. Back surface covered in marks from many small roots growing alongside object; sand stuck to front. (Round sticker on back).
