Rectangular-shaped hollow box with carving of a humanoid creature on the front. Face has inlaid shell eyes that are green-blue in colour. One end of the box is cut back shorter than the back, leaving part of the sides open. At the other end, fibre cording is looped through a hole in the wood.
Iron axe head, attached to a dark brown wooden handle. Designs on the handle include the repetition of spirals, circles, and ellipses. Design on the lower portion consists of two ellipses, one above the other, on each side, joining at each end on a downward pointing curve while having tiny triangles within. Design on the upper portion of the handle consists of four vertical rows of tiny triangles with plain vertical lines in between and sectioned off horizontally in three sections by the following from bottom to top: a continuous horizontal band that has tiny triangles within; a triple outlined oval that has tiny triangles within; and a triple discontinuous horrizontal band. Above, there is a downward curving design with a circle at the centre. Handle is slim and slightly tapered towards the base.
Dark green stone axe or adze head of nephrite. General triangular shape from rough rectangular base. One side is flat tapering at an angle to a point while the other side is curving covexely to a point, creating a straight edge. Finely worked with evidence of use.
Expandable fish net gathered at one end giving it a conical shape. Diamond-shaped pattern with knotted joints. Natural reed-grass colouration.
A pipe with a case (part b). The pipe is wooden with a bird motif (tiki), spirals, and double spirals around plain eyes, corners of the mouth, abd along the sides, and the bottom with a plain tongue protruding. A chevron pattern is along the stem up to the silver bands. The silver is engraved with flowers along the rim, and the centre of the stem. The stem is loose with the rest of the stem being of orange (resin?). The bands on the stem have the letters "ller" and three symbols: an anchor, an "s", and a lion. Underneath the symbols, there is the word "kia-ora". The end of the stem has teeth marks, mostly on the underside. The case is brown leather, made in Vienna. It has a brass frame with hinges. The inside is red valour, and has the words, 'Sterling silver mounts', and a red bird emblem with the letters 'KK' on one side.
A flat plaited basket with a rectangular shape. Made from dried flax leaves. Terminal edges at bottom and around inside 2 cm. from the top are plaited together to form a strong ridge. Two plaited handles are attached at mid-point to inside top ridge, one at either sides. Body of basket is flat-plaited; ridges are oval. Handles are round.

A smooth grey stone that has a thin flat oblong rectangular shape with one side flat and the other side curving convexly. Both sides taper at an angle, creating an edge at one end which is more flared than the other end.
A smooth black stone with a flat oblong rectangular shape that has one side slightly curving convexly while tapering at a sharp angle to a point and the other side slightly curving convexly while tapering slightly to a point, creating a straight edge which is more flared than the other end.
A fairly smooth blue-grey stone that has a short broad triangle shape. While both sides are flat, one side angles to a point while the other side tapers at an angle to a point, creating an edge at one end which is more flared than the other end.
