Kachina Figure2731/196

Small carved wooden figure is standing with arms bent over stomach. The head is covered with a red mask with black and white eyes, square ears painted blue and black, a protruding nose, and a long white feather at the top. It has painted yellow pants, a blue coat with white, red and black designs on the front and wears a long turquoise and red necklace.

Wooden headdress consisting of a rectangular piece of wood with a semi-oval cut out of the centre bottom; painted in blue, yellow, green, black and red. The front has a flower in the centre and two feathers on each side. The back has clouds and lightning with two feathers on either side. The front has a circular bundle of fibre attached. There is a thick leather strip that attaches at the back and hangs down past the edge of the wood. A second piece of leather runs horizontally across the opening.
