Blade is relatively flat with curved edges and tip, and handle is cylindrical near the centre of the paddle, but flattens towards the cylindrical handle grip.

Human face mask divided horizontally through the eyes. The two parts are joined with string through holes drilled in the ears. The brown face has circular cut out hole eyes surrounded by a black area that extends down the sides into a red feathery feature. The nostrils, mouth and ears are red. Above the open, upward pointed mouth, there is a curling black moustache. Red feathery hair above. Surface is smooth. Lightly painted in red and black. Series of holes around the upper perimeter are plugged with small pieces of wood.

Above the crown of the hat are a series of four cylindrical protrusions of plain twined weave around the sides of each, and twined and wicker weave on the underside of each with a hole in the topmost protrusion. Two bands of black on the brim and on the cylindrical protrusion below the topmost protrusion.
