Bi-pointed Dagger3260/108

Large metal dagger formed from a single piece of steel, narrowing at one end to form the handgrip. Grip area is overlaid with copper sheeting on both sides. The finial of the dagger portrays the head of a wolf, with rounded snout and eyes, and U-shaped ears and nostrils. Abalone shell inlay is used for eyes and the four ovoid shapes of the copper overlay. The handle is wrapped with a hide strip. The long end of the strip has a loop for being held over a wrist or thumb.

Dance Wand3260/106 a-b

Wooden song leader's staff or dance wand (wutsaagáa), cut into two pieces (parts a-b). At the bottom is a short, unpainted handle, otherwise the entire length is covered in carved figures depicting animals. Many abalone inlays have been used for eyes, and as decorative details on areas such as wings and fins. The figures are painted in red, black and light blue. The back is partially rounded/hollowed out. The two pieces have been attached by a long wooden peg, through a hole in each piece. (The peg now sits in the upper hole, visible at the back.)

Raven's Journey3260/180

Round drum from a single skin stretched around a wooden frame. The skin is pulled around the edges of the drum and held together at back with skin thongs. Raven design on surface painted in blue, black and red. Artist inscription and date on the side.

Rattle Basket3207/4 a-b

Rattle basket. Small basket has a recessed base decorated with encircling lines of green, from which rises a short straight wall. Weave is fine, with two lines of imbricated designs either side of midpoint consisting of stepped lines in faded shades of tan. Interior has corresponding lines of dark blue-grey and red. Lid fits over mouth of basket and is concave at centre with a large, squat finial. Design is of encircling lines of triangles and rectangles in light tan and orange. Set inside lid under the finial is a chamber containing material that rattles (likely beads?). Encirclilng rings of blue-grey and red decorate the underside of the lid.

Pipe3260/35

Pipe bowl in the shape of a raven lying on its back. Small three-dimensionally carved faces are at both sides of the beak. The pipe bowl, in the bird's stomach, has a copper insert. The stem hole is at the feet.

Bone amulet in animal (frog or toad?) form with wide, toothless mouth, large eyes, and forelegs positioned on either side. The back is carved with twelve faces - divided into two groups facing opposite directions of two rows of three faces. Small remnant of a hide cord at one side. Three sides are bordered with a twisted rope design.

Small round spruce root basket (part a) with lid (part b). The basket is decorated with light-brown bands, a dark brown geometric pattern at centre. On outer rim and towards the edge of the lid is a light brown band with the same dark geometric pattern. Small raised, woven knob in the centre of the lid.
