Model canoe paddle, approximately 2/3 size of a regular paddle. Features a painted composition on each side of the blade. On one side is a killer whale, painted primarily in red with black detailing; on the opposite side is an otter, painted primarily in black with red detailing. The compositions are abstracted to fit the elongated shape of the paddle blade. Ovoid elements. Handle is unpainted.
Long, rectangular shaped, black felt scarf with red felt appliqué design of a frog in profile, at each end. When worn around neck, one frog faces up, one faces down. A 'Feastwear' label is attached inside at back centre.
Finely woven of spruce roots, this small child’s hat is painted with a split image of a whale encircling the crown and brim, its eyes facing the front, fins at the side, tail flukes at the back. Hat has a slightly concave top, with a red painted circle on it, and a wide brim. Woven with various twined weaves; the rim is braided; the inner headband is twill weave.
A light brown woven basketry hat. Done in a large weave, with plain cedar bark weaving across the flat top. Below the tapered top section, the hat gradually widens toward the flared rim.
Carved argillite figure standing on a rectangular base (a). Figure is shown wearing a headdress and a robe with an incised bear(?) design on the back. In his right hand he holds an ivory stick that tapers to a point (b); in his left, an ivory rattle (c). Both hands are held at centre front.
Small carved argillite pole. Figures from base to top: bear holding frog in front, with hind feet of frog in its mouth; raven with humanoid body, wearing a very tall hat; bird (raven or eagle) with a small frog carved on each side, and with the frog's hind feet in its mouth; on the very top, crouched over the bird's head, is a small sea bear with a dorsal fin. The pole has a smooth, flat back and stands on a small, thin base. The base is rounded off on the front corners.
Small round spruce root basket (part a) with lid (part b). The basket is decorated with sets of equally spaced grey-brown parallelograms encircling the side, with alternating light and dark brown arrows at centre. There is a small raised woven knob in the centre of the lid.
Spoon with a carved handle. Small abalone inlays used for eyes and animal ears. The top human figure wears a hat with five potlatch rings; below is a bear with a frog in its mouth.
Wide silver bracelet with engraved and crosshatched design covering entire outside surface. Design said to be sea bear and frog. The bracelet has squared ends with two hook clasps that fit into a corresponding slots. Artist’s inscription and date inside.
