Double Cross1590/58

Silver Lorraine Cross with scalloped top, bottom and terminals. Hole at the top. Cross is outlined with a double engraved zigzag line. Body of cross is engraved with six stars, four sunbursts, two hearts, one with flower in centre and one with sunburst. On lower base there is a bow, arrow and quiver with arrows. Maker's mark at bottom.

A circular brooch with scalloped edge and raised circular central cutout. The scallops alternate with 12 bosses. There are 24 triangular-shaped holes around the centre hole. There are engraved lines over the scallops and between the bosses. Cross-pin. Maker’s mark stamped left of centre.

Necklace1590/95

Long necklace consisting of 112 small, white, porcelain Iroquois/Seneca trade beads, from which is suspended a gorget. The gorget, silver-plated on brass, is engraved with tomahawk, peace pipe and snake, and has an engraved border. From the gorget is suspended a Lorraine Cross, silver- plated on brass, which has square ends and is engraved with decorative patterns and borders. Between the gorget and cross are two rows of three beads; two larger white porcelain beads with a brown seed bead in the middle.
