Female figure with geometric linear decoration around the body and the upper portions. Much stylized. Oblong head has thin, narrow eyes, an inverted T-shaped nose, and a wide mouth. From the breasts, the arms extend upward with the flat, long-fingered hands above. Legs are bent slightly at the knees.

Form of a woman holding up a bowl above her head. Has rounded bulging eyes that have a hole grooved in the centre, a flat nose, and a mouth. A cylindrical extension goes between the top middle of her breasts to underneath her chin. Has an extended round stomach. Knees are bent. Her hands extend upward as they hold a bowl above her head.

Kanaga mask. Wooden ceremonial mask with a long vertical bar below that has two cross-bars tied on. Has rectangular cut out eyes, a thick brow above, and a thin, deep nose that connects to the chin area. Open work carving of outward pointing triangles at the neck. Painted with black and white chalky colour. (Cross-bar closest to head has been rotated since photograph, with arms now extending towards face.)

Bird MaskK2.439

Mask surmounted by a bird and painted with dots and geometrics in natural ochre shades. The mask has downward pointing triangular cut out eyes, and is framed by a projecting three-ridged feature. There are small ear-like projections at the top sides of the lower face. The bird is frontal facing with a brown crest and is attached to the top of the mask at its feet. Paper label attached to interior.
