Long boat-shaped wooden piece (c) that is hollowed out in the middle and has a hole at either end on the inside rim. Several strands of fibre hang from two wooden rods and are attached to a long stick with fibre cording (d).

Fibre cording is wrapped around the neck of the figure several times and hangs to the side. Incised lines on the head to denote hair. The angled shoulders extend into the arms that are bent at the elbows so that the hands are angled forward to hold the long plaited beard. The knees are slightly bent. On a circular base. Sculpture of a figure standing with the arms resting down the sides and bending at the elbows so that the hands are resting at the sides of the stomach. The partially oval rounded eyes are closed with the long thin nose extending from the high upraised brows. The mouth is prim. The hair is elaborately styled with incised lines. Around the neck, there is an orange and blue beaded necklace. The chest tapers into breasts with two vertical lines having diagonal grooves going down the centre of the chest. Two more horizontal lines having vertical grooves are around the front of the waist. The knees are slightly bent. On a circular base. Wood has been oiled and has now achieved the high sheen of a good, well cared for figure which characterises Baoule sculpture.

From her square shoulders, her arms extend downward, bending at the elbows to curve forward so that the hands are resting on the upper front of each leg. She has a long neck, and breasts. Her eyes have a horizontal grooved slit and her eyebrows are upraised. From her compressed mouth, there are three incised radiating lines at either side. Incised line patterns indicate the coiffure.
