Figure of a man carrying a cacao pod. Left hand holds stem attached to top of pod; right hand rests on middle of pod. Eyes and mouth are open. Traces of red pigment are visible around mouth, ear and central ornament on figure's headdress. Figure wearing traditional loincloth (maxtlatl). Right arm is cracked and repaired; feet are broken off; small section of stone on finger near knuckle of right hand is missing; some surface chipping overall.

A dark grey stone head of a monkey whose eyes and mouth are shown open and whose tongue is sticking out. All the features are clearly defined through the carving and smooth finish. The sculpture is concave on the underside of the neck. Condition: good

Earth Monster (Cipactli)37.399

An irregular boulder of greenstone. On one end, the carved face of an earth monster (Cipactli) with bared teeth, round goggle eyes on top of its head, feathers, and jade beads is represented. The back and sides are also carved with symbols that include the figure of Xuihcoatl or the Turquoise Serpent.
