String is wound around the shaft and then covered in pitch to make the grip. At one end, there is more string and pitch. It was painted red along the lower portion of the shaft and black and brown above but the paint is wearing off. The long red-brown point is plain.

Plain tapering shaft with a very elongated hourglass-shaped end. Appears to have been painted black. The extremely long dark point is plain. The hourglass-shaped end is brown. Fibre is wrapped around the base of the point just above the hourglass-shaped end.
