Comb2948/128

A rectangular comb with teeth about half the length of the whole. Five teeth are extant, a sixth, middle tooth, has broken off. The other end is slightly thicker with a narrow ridge between it and the main body and narrows to a broad, rounded tip. (A few strands of short, curly hair remain in the teeth.)

Concave bamboo comb with ten long teeth and rounded edges on the handle. On the outside a shallow ridge marks the handle, which is a tan colour, and the teeth which are a darker, ruddy-brown, having had the outer layer of the bamboo shaved off. The inner layers have also been shaved off of the teeth. Marks of manufacture are extant.

Necklace2948/93

Necklace of animal teeth. 87 teeth are tied adjacently to a braid of bast string, of approximately 70cm circumference, through small, round holes drilled through each tooth. The teeth range from 13mm to 33mm from base to tip, and range in colour from yellow-browns through to dark browns with ivory tips. All of the teeth are incisors except for a molar at one end where the string is tied in a knot.

Armband2948/79

A darkened armband of woven rattan fibre has a large tassel attached to a short braided rope of bast strings. The tassel consists of bees wax, coix seeds, black cassowary feathers, larger bronze-coloured feathers and long strips of rattan fibre.
