Thick, rectangular metal piece with a design that consists of an elaborate spiral in relief design that extends into a connection with an outward facing, truncated trident-like shape with upraised lines at either end. Cire-perdue method.
Metal turtle with one leg missing and a lozenge design to indicate the shell. The flat head has rounded eyes and is angled to the turtle's right side. The legs turn outward and inward. The turtle's front right leg and back left leg both have a metal ringlet around them.
Brooch made from a contemporary reproduction of an Akan style cast gold weight. The brooch is in the shape of a ceremonial sword, which has a pin attached to the back. While both the cross-guard and the pommel are rounded, the latter has a point at the tip end. From the base of the blade near the handle to the tip end that curves upward, there are the following: a concentric circle, two cut out circles, a cut out x-shape, a cut out large circle, and three cut out small circles. Three protrusions extend from the bottom base end while the curved tip is grooved at the centre.
A scale consisting of a metal rod with a metal pan hanging from each end, with three lines of thread. Simple geometric pattern on pans: one pan has two circular lines (part b) and the other pan has a circular line at the centre and a crescent shape along one side (part a).
Bowl of pipe in the shape of a frog or fish head. Stem protrudes forwards and has a small tapered rim. Overall, object is black in colour.
A circular metal container (part a) with three cylindrical legs and lid (part b). Geometric borders in relief, and plain panels with central boss on lid plus two "loops" at the edges. Cast by cire-perdue method.
Fertility figure (akuaba) with a flat, disc-shaped head. High oval forehead, curved brows, oval eyes, a long vertical nose, and a small mouth at the very bottom. Eight rings are carved around the neck. The short horizontal rectangular arms are outstretched straight to the sides with carved breasts between them. The lower half of the body is cylindrical and ends with a slightly wide round base. A single strand of very small yellow beads hangs around the body, just above the base. The back of the round head has horizontal lines across the middle, with two elongated half-ovals between.
Clay carving representing the Asantehene, on a rectangular base. Figure has a triangular face, prominent brows, oval-shaped eyes, wide nose, and thin incised mouth. He has semi-circular eyes protruding from his head, and is wearing a circular headdress with triangles on either sides; dots incised in rows across headdress. Male figure is depicted sitting on a high-backed chair, with a long cloth wrapped around him; cloth drapes over left shoulder, leaving right arm exposed. Cloth is decorated with long bands filled with dots. He has a wide strap across his right shoulder, decorated with stripes; large bracelet on his right wrist, decorated with incised diagonal lines. Bottom of carving is undecorated.
