Description
Basket in the shape of a suitcase. Side opposite lid has a large complex star figure in white, black and red, surrounded by beaded border of circles and semi-circles. Edges are decorated in red, black and white beading which creates a pattern of circles and semi-circles. The lid has a border similar in appearance to the side opposite, and an inner pattern of white chevrons and black verticals. Simple coiled work (with bifurcated stitches) with parallel slat base and lid construction.

This basket was designed to be used as a suitcase.
Iconographic Meaning
This basket features a star design on its lid. The other side of the object features a lightning design according to the Raley ledger.
