Description
Carved stone, seated figure with missing head. Two faces decorate the bottom at the front and back.
History Of Use
Anthropomorphic and zoomorphic stone bowls appear in the archaeological record in Southwestern British Columbia during the Marpole Culture Phase, 2400-1600 years ago. They are thought to be associated with shamanic ritual and ceremonial life.
