Pot Item Number: 3595/19 a-b from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Pot (part a) with lid (part b). The pot is decorated with incised geometric patterns. Three two-headed lizard-like animals, or six lizard-like animals crossed over each other, are equally spread out across the centre of the pot. 22 metal strands extend down from the bottom of the pot and curve to connect with a circular piece of metal, forming a base for the pot. Two of these metal pieces are thicker than the rest and are decorated with incised patterns. The lid depicts a large frog-like animal and a small, but long, snake-like animal with their mouths connected. Two nail-like shapes stick out of the lid on either side of the animals.
Purchased by the Kelowna Museum (now the Okanagan Heritage Museum) from Mr and Mrs Henry Hildebrand in 1982.
