Description

Dark brown wooden boomerang with grooves carved across entire surface; back is flat, front is curved. Left arm of boomerang is slightly wider than the right; both arms taper to sharp points. Elbow has a high curve.

Narrative

According to the donor, the seed necklaces and boomerangs (3615/1-8) were collected in the 1970s-80s in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, in the areas of Halls Creek, Looma Broome and Derby.
