Necklace Item Number: 3615/4 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Beaded necklace made of dark brown apple seeds; strung on series of plastic strings. Each seed has a small hole pierced through one end; other end hangs loosely. Multiple threads and seeds form a flower-like pattern; centres of flowers are open.
According to the donor, the seed necklaces and boomerangs (3615/1-8) were collected in the 1970s-80s in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, in the areas of Halls Creek, Looma Broome and Derby.
