Description

Brown wooden boomerang with a scale-like pattern across surface; back is flat, front is curved. Left arm of boomerang is slightly wider than right; left arm tapers to a point, right tapers to a flat line. Elbow has a soft curve; top edge of it has worn down to a yellow-brown.

Narrative

According to the donor, the seed necklaces and boomerangs (3615/1-8) were collected in the 1970s-80s in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, in the areas of Halls Creek, Looma Broome and Derby.
