Description

Oval-shaped platter with two rows of repeating floral designs - black centre dots surrounded by circles of small off-white dots with green leaves in between. The bowl is shallow. Glazed.

Narrative

The donor purchased the pottery from the owners in Mexico City in 1981-83. In 1982 he found similar examples being sold in the market in Atlacomulco. Made as domestic ware.
