Description

Wooden cheetah figure in a running position (part a). Cat is carved from multiple pieces of wood; all components painted yellow. Head and body are one piece. Legs, tail and ears (parts b-c) are separate. Legs and tail nailed to body, ears are inset. Mouth is incised, eyes and nostrils are painted. Incisions along front bottom edges of all paws, imitating claws. Incisions are all painted black. Eyes are yellow, whiskers and nose done in black. Decorative line of black dots painted above eyes. Entire body covered with black spots.
