Byzantine coin of Constans II, 641-668. Obverse: bust of Constans II, facing forwards; he wears a crown with a cross; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription says ‘NPER’; to right, ‘COhST’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANA’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘II’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘E’. This coin has been overstruck.
