Description

Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two rulers standing and facing front; Heraclius is on the left; Heraclius Constantine, his son, is on the right; each wears a crown with cross and holds a globus cruciger in their right hand; between their heads, there is a cross. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘A[N]N[O]’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘III’ in a vertical position; beneath, ‘B’; in exergue, several illegible inscriptions. Coin has been overstruck, resulting in some confusion on reverse.
