Coin Item Number: 3095/966 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two rulers standing and facing front; Heraclius is on the left; Heraclius Constantine, his son, is on the right; each holds a long cross in their right hand; Heraclius is in military dress, while Heraclius Constantine wears a chlamys; between their heads, there is a cross. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘[AN]NO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘XΠ’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘A’; in exergue, ‘C…OW’. Coin is most likely overstruck, which accounts for the confusion with the date and exergue on the reverse.
"Follis" (denomination); DO# 105-116; Sear# 810.
