Coin Item Number: 3095/922 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: this coin has been overstruck on a coin from the preceding decade, making the image unclear, but there appears to be at least one standing figure stamped over top of a head; to left, inscription says ‘PERPAVC’, but this is from the earlier coin; to right, 'K'. Reverse: again, the fact that the coin has been overstruck makes decipherment difficult, but there is a large ‘M’ that has been turned into a large ‘Λ’; to the right of the 'M', there is 'I'; beneath the ‘M’, there is a ‘Δ’ and the letters ‘CON’; beneath the ‘Λ’, there is also ‘CON’; to the left of the ‘Λ’, there is ‘[A]NNO’ in a vertical position.
“Three-Quarter Follis” (denomination); DO# 117; Sear# 812.
