Byzantine coin of Phocas, 602-610. Obverse: bust of Phocas, facing front, with consular robes and crown with cross; to right, he holds a cross; to left, inscription is illegible; to right, it says ‘PERAV’. Reverse: large ‘[X]XXX’; to right, ‘IIII’ in a vertical position; above, ‘[A]N[NO]’; in exergue, ‘NIKOA’. This coin has been overstruck on a coin from the previous emperor, Maurice Tiberius. To the lower left of the bust on the obverse, the letters ‘NNO’ and ‘CO’ are visible. To the lower left of the ‘XXXX’ on the reverse, the letters ‘ONM’ are visible.
