Byzantine coin of Phocas, 602-610. Obverse: bust of Phocas, facing front, with consular robes and crown with pendilia; to left, he holds a mappa; to right, he holds a cross; to left, inscription says ‘ϽMFOCA’; to right, it is illegible. Reverse: large ‘XXXX’; to right, 'Ϥ'; above, ‘ANNO’; beneath, ‘NI[KO]. Collector’s envelope suggests officina mark is ‘A’.
