Byzantine coin of Tiberius II, 578-582, or of Maurice Tiberius, 582-602. Obverse: bust of Tiberius II or Maurice Tiberius, facing front, wearing crown; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to right, he holds a shield; to left, inscription is illegible; to right, it says ‘NV’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘IIII’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘B’; in exergue, ‘NIKO’.
